What happens in a discovery call

By Reeech

38% of Irish businesses operate without a structured digital marketing plan. That's not a niche problem, it's a huge share of the market, and it means a lot of prospective clients don't yet know which service line they actually need. So before we scope anything, we start with a discovery call and a short review.

The review covers what's already running: the current site, whatever paid media is live, organic search visibility, existing content, and whatever reporting already exists. The goal isn't to find fault for its own sake. It's to find the two or three things that would move the needle fastest, and say so plainly, even when the honest answer is a smaller scope than we'd like to sell.

We don't charge for it, and we don't require a signed retainer to run one. Partly that's a founder-led-agency luxury we intend to keep for as long as we can. Mostly it's because a scope built on a guess is worse for everyone than a smaller scope built on evidence.

What comes out the other side is a short, specific plan: a target, a budget range, and a timeline, agreed before any work starts. If the honest recommendation is one service line rather than seven, that's what we'll say. The data visualisation practice that measures everything downstream starts here too, this is where the baseline gets set.
